We are pleased to announce that in addition to weekday portfolio reviews, department faculty members and admission counselors will be on campus from 9 am – 12 pm on the following Saturdays to review portfolios:
January 26 | February 16 | March 2 | March 23 | April 20
First: Submit your application, making use of our application checklist.
Then: Schedule your review by contacting the Office of Admission at admissions@uarts.edu or 215‑717‑6049.
Saturday portfolio reviews require a previously submitted application. If you’d like a preliminary review, schedule an appointment between 10 am – 3 pm on a Monday or Friday.
On-the-spot acceptance may be offered to applicants who show an acceptable portfolio, provided all application materials have been received at least two weeks prior to review, and who meet all UArts’ admission criteria.
Please note there are no tours of the campus available on Saturdays. If you would like a tour, please call the Office of Admission to schedule during the week.
That’s a broad question! Let’s start with our portfolio and audition requirements. Please feel free to ask follow-up questions.
Hello! While there is a SlideRoom portal for graduate students, there is not a SlideRoom portal for undergraduate applicants to submit their portfolios online. A fee is required of applicants using SlideRoom, so if an undergraduate applicant is unable to participate in an in-person portfolio review, we recommend free hosting services like carbonmade for images and YouTube or Vimeo for videos. Upon uploading, please send your online portfolio’s direct link to admissions@uarts.edu. Applicants may also submit portfolios electronically through the mail, using a CD-ROM, DVD or USB flash drive.
Additional information about portfolio (and audition) requirements can be found here.
Portfolio Reviews & Auditions
Saturday, January 26, 2013
So, what do parents do while their child is auditioning or having a portfolio review? Presentations are made by Admissions and Student Financial Services (SFS) staff, after which parents can find out if their child’s application file is complete or what materials are still outstanding. Bagels, coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Here, Aisha and Dan, Admission Counselors, and Stephanie, SFS Counselor, field individual questions in Solmssen Court while a group of brave parents at the top of the stairs prepare to face Philly’s cold temperatures on a campus tour.
More Saturday portfolio review and audition dates coming up! Get your application in and get on our schedule.
